What schools usually ask before starting a pilot.
What does our school need to do to get started?
Send us the list of phrases you use in lessons, in Japanese and English. Eiguru builds the practice content, and it goes live for students once you’ve checked it.
We use a commercial textbook. Can we use that?
Yes. We never reuse sentences from the book itself. Eiguru writes original phrases matched to each unit’s theme and teaching points.
How much work is this for teachers?
One to two hours at the start to check the phrases. After that, about five minutes a week: read the report and bring it into the next lesson.
What should we charge our students?
That is entirely up to you. You can fold it into your monthly fee or charge for it separately.
Do students have to install an app?
No. They just open it in their phone’s browser. Adding it to the home screen makes it feel like an app.
What does the AI do?
It marks the student’s answer and gives them a hint. After two tries they can see the answer. We say plainly on the student’s screen that the feedback is written by AI, and that AI can be wrong.
Where is student data stored?
Data is stored in Singapore, marked by AI in the United States, and email is sent from the EU. Each service was vetted before we adopted it, and all are listed in our privacy policy. Student names and email addresses are never sent to the AI. We supply the notice you give your students.
Can we stop partway through?
Yes. The first three months are a pilot, and after that you can cancel month to month. We delete your students’ data when you do.
